- Experience with storage system architecture and protocols (SCSI, FC) 
- C, shell scripting, make/gmake, Unix based development tools 
- Network programming (TCP/IP, NIS, sockets, etc.) 

- Experience with source code control system, mercurial preferred 
- Experience with Linux. Kernel level experience preferred 
- Experience with file system internals preferred
