The important thing about the firewall is that you have one...  The things
you learn about packet filtering while using ipchains, for example, is
directly relavent to using one of the other flavors.  So, don't feel that
you *HAVE* to start with one filter over another.

iptables is nice and has some nice features.  But, it's not like you can't
get by with ipchains...
