(The background is that I have come into a set of Webgear 2.4 PCMCIA
cards, complete with ISA-PCMCIA adapters, only to find that the PC I
bought them to network, the mass-market Windows box made by a large
company with a local R&D facility and a 2-letter domain name, is a
legacy-free PCI-only model.)

Actually, I have no answer at this time, although Michael Dwyer was
filling me with doom and gloom about how impossible it is to get a
PCMCIA-PCI bridge thing to do anything, anywhere, for any purpose.

I'm hoping that someone here has the information I need to buy a
PCMCIA-PCI bridge, install it, get it to work, and then get back here
and tell him, "In your FAAAACE!!!!" as a defeatist like him so richly
deserves.
