So: who is in charge of getting locales to work and why isn't he doing it properly. I have the same problem after doing the errata upgrades from the RH ftp site. My perl scripts now bitch everytime I run one. I would guess that one of the upgrade packages is a loser ... somebody didn't regression test the fix very well. John
