[NCLUG] Compaq followup

Many thanks to all of you who offered suggestions re: my crashing
compaq/RH6.2 box.
  Thanks to Jason, I was able to get a Compaq CMOS bootdisk & determine that
the 
sleep mode was already off, and that that wasn't the problem.  A recent
crash indicated 
that there may be something wrong with the default Tulip driver for my
linksys NIC; I 
have some docs on how to install the latest Tulip driver & recompile, so
maybe I'll do 
that next & see if it helps.
