It sounds like the wierdo card in the Starband system is just a
USB->Ethernet
converter.  Since Linux does have support for some USB ethernet devices, I'm
kind of suprised that it cannot yet talk to the Starband modem.
It would not suprise me in the least if someone has a working solution
already.
I just can't find anything, yet.
