Hi NCLUGers,

What: December NCLUG Meeting
When: December 4th, 6pm
Where: Mountain State Bank, 303 E. Mountain Ave (map on the website)
Food: pizza and soda, bring $$ if you want some
Presenter: Evelyn Mitchell <efm at tummy.com>
Topic: Licenses

The sucess of Linux was made possible by two things, the first was
the growth of the Internet, allowing for international collaboration
by developers. The second was the GNU Public License (the GPL), which
ensured that the products of this collaboration would remain open for
   study and development.

Now there are 29 different licenses which have passed the Open Source
Initiative approval process. I'll be presenting a brief tour of the
rights software authors have, and the choices you are faced with
   in choosing a license.

See you there!
