[NCLUG] ipchains and firewalls

I muddled with ipchains and was never quite sure what I was protecting.
I've been running SmoothWall for the last couple of months and I like it a
lot. It seems to have all the right stuff, i.e. prebuilt chains for free.
Has anybody made the VPN option on SmoothWall work?
