On 19 Aug 2003 at 13:30:56, jbass at dmsd.com arranged the bits on my disk to say:

One would think SCO would try to provide at least compelling evidence at
their little PR-fest in Las Vegas; if *this* is the best they can come up
with, they're screwed in court; IBM's IP lawyers will chew them up for
breakfast, with enough to go after Darl and his crew for lunch.

Funny... SCO's rush to slam Linux is nothing more than a PR sham till the
case goes to the court.

Is your claim that what's sauce for your precious little Enron-wannabe
goose isn't sauce for the gander?

> The only way to make the judgement is foreknowledge ... any guesses, or

I guess you either haven't found, or haven't been able to read the pages
(http://www.lemis.com/grog/sco.html) and pages
(http://www.opensource.org/sco-vs-ibm.html) and PAGES
(http://sco.iwethey.org/) of history and analysis on this issue which
*painfully* debunks just about every one of SCO's claims.

The whole case is laughably absurd, John; any first year law student is
able to see that.

Yeah... and when that happens, we'll all be laughing at what's left of SCO.

And all those naive SCO supporters who claimed this really was about IP and
were too blind (or stupid) to see it's really about executives cashing out
their stock (did ya actually look at that Yahoo link?).

Later,
Paul
