SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER

Reference SW Test Engineer in the subject

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   This position is for a Software Test Engineer to
assist with the software development and integration of our storage
system product.  This person will develop and implement test plans and
scenarios and perform module testing.  Ideally this person will do
module integration testing also.

  

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:  This individual must have experience in the
following:

 

*	Experience of a minimum of 6 years performing software testing
*	Must have strong experience in real-time Linux and associated
GNU tools  (including gdb, gcc)
*	Strong working knowledge in C and C++
*	Strong Perl knowledge for scripting a must
*	Experience in white box testing (e.g. at the kernel level, for
cache, for drivers, etc.)
*	Strong knowledge of regression automation test tools
*	Strong experience in developing test suites
*	Experience in defect tracking
*	Experience in software module integration desired
*	Prefer background with formal software quality  and testing
methodologies

*	Must have strong documentation skills
*	Some storage industry knowledge is ideally but not essential,
ideally with lower-level code related to memory, caching, API
interfaces, device drivers, and user interfaces

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

*	Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in engineering desired,
but not mandatory
*	Must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
