I installed spamassassin locally (it tooks some massaging to get PERL to 
find my PERL modules in my local directories) and had the following in 
my .procmailrc:

:0fw: spamassassin.lock
* < 256000
| ${HOME}/bin/spamassassin

:0
* ^X-Spam-Status: Yes
