Not that I know of... what kind of HDs are they?
Have you tried Googling for the model numbers (one particular model of IBM
drive *always* went bad, for instance)?
That might shed some light on the subject.
Before you assume it's the hard drive, though, I would downgrade and see if
you have problems.
Back up your data right now, though. :-)
