[NCLUG] Referring to an external USB device?

When I attach an I/O Magic DVD+RW external USB drive, I see the enclosed
from the kernel. What would the name of the device be? This is on a
laptop with no other USB devices and no SCSI devices. Debian (testing)
is the OS with a 2.14.18 customized kernel.

xcdroast cannot see it. I've tried various device names with ogle and a
DVD movie in there.

I found that http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/ has a lot of
information about DVD+-RW burning for Linux but it specifically does not
cover getting the USB connected.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
    Ant.
