[NCLUG] Proposal

What's really amazing is how stupid these spammers can be. I subscribe
to Direct Marketing News (due to attempts to start a business selling
music CDs) and recently they had a very interesting report. A big
spammer was caught and up on charges for mail fraud, selling "Herbal
Viagra". It came out in court documents that he had recently done one
campaign involving sending out 10 million spam messages. His total
commission: $360. At that rate, these creeps will kill themselves off
eventually.

Oh, and another report detailed some FCC hearings on the matter, during
which some spammers actually showed up and tried to defend themselves.
A LOT of security had to be called in, and at one point a commissioner
had to physically separate a spammer from one of us.
