[NCLUG] cd writer

Thanks for the attempt, but it didn't work. I recompiled the kernel with
ide-cd as a module instead of simply being built straight in... I booted
the system with append="hda=ide-scsi" in my lilo.conf file, unloaded
ide-cd and loaded ide-scsi. The result was the same, total system
freeze.
