[NCLUG] Lite distros/programs for old pcs? \\ "no software to run" ???

**  holy kow!  i thought the whole point
    of linux (or one of the points) is
    that you can run a whole lot of software
    that you get off the web!

    have i misunderstood everything???

    what is going on here ???
