[NCLUG] Mandrake kills MS

Actually, it is likely that the boot was not destroyed. More likely, the partition information changed slightly.  Here are a couple of notes on the subject:

I had this problem in the past when I converted a Win2K to XP machine without removing the Win2K install.

I would also try to ascertain the reason for the CD no longer booting? Is it a bios problem or BIOS configuration change perhaps? I think resolving this issue would make your life easier in the long run.
