There may be some options to the xfs tools to use an alternate
superblock (I don't recall if xfs has them). If it's just a matter of
one area on the HDD having been corrupted, and having taken out the main
superblock, then using a different superblock might help. I guess this
could be a filesystem-specific mount option too. I don't know how you'd
find out where on the disk the other superblocks are, but I imagine any
man pages detailing how to use alternate superblocks would help.
