You might try booting a Knoppix CD and running parted (or qtparted) - it's 
capable of non-destructively resizing disk partitions.  I would recommend 
backing up anything important first, of course...

At least, I was able to shrink an NTFS partition with it to make room for 
Kubuntu on my system.
