[NCLUG] comcast blocking port 25?

I have a friend who is asking me about this too.

Does anyone know if comcast is simply requiring 587 or they they are
now requiring 587 with mandatory ssl/tls?  My friend is already
relaying to the comcast servers on port 25 and I am thinking of
advising them to simply redirect mail from port 25 to port 587 might
be sufficient if ssl/tls encryption is not required.
