I use GKG.net, they have a namehosting only service. I've been quite 
happy with them. They do offer web hosting, but that's a different service.

But for what you are looking for I'd look into zoneedit.com. They do 
just what you're looking for and for free, as long as you have below a 
certain number of domains. I suspect that "one" is below that number. I 
have used them in the past and had no problems.

Googling for "free dns" will give several hits, but I have no experience 
with any but the ones above.
