[NCLUG] autofs behaviour

Wow, I wish I had a problem with autofs and not xmodmap, 'cause it
appears my affliction is so rare, the doctors on this site have never
heard of it!  :-)

Guess I'll have to study the source code for clues.  Even the savvy IT
guy here at work says he's baffled, no other Linux workstations seem to
have this odd behavior of ignoring xmodmap and turning shift-ENTER into
ESC-OM unless you map it to something silly like "exclam".
