Most residential service has upstream speeds measured in bytes per
fortnight, so that's going to be a problem with any solution requiring
outbound data from your home. The latency associated with most home
setups can also cause problems for VPNs.

Those Linksys routers are pretty handy, but they do have speed
limitations, as do the NSLU2s.
