56 bits is better than zero; the tempest leak from the wiring 
up the tower is easier, if one is bound and determined to do 
the intercept.  Having worked with an ISP running a Canopy 
system, there are plenty of easier to exploit weak MitM points 
or passive capture points that come to mind.
