That simply isn't true (well, it may well be true that they said that,
but they're wrong).

Perhaps they're confusing "cable select" mode with not caring about
primary/secondary. However, if both drives were jumpered for "primary",
then what happens in "cable select" mode is irrelevant, since the drives
weren't in that mode.
