One of the best resources is a site where some of my work has been published, including an essay on open-sourcing energy inventions.

There's an internal search engine on the site which can get you to several companies quickly.  There are many innovative wind turbine and solar panel designs out there.  With PESwiki, you can sort through which ones are most promising, including whether or not prototypes and consumer models exist.
