[NCLUG] Trying to check ThinkPad support for Linux

I have two T60p ThinkPads. Due to work requirements, they are not 
running Linux, but I can attest that they are very quiet machines. I too 
find the whine from various electronic devices extremely annoying, and 
neither of these laptops has exhibited any noise.
