[NCLUG] Position Available: Linux Quality Assurance at HP

My team at HP in Fort Collins is looking to hire another contractor for
a Linux Quality Assurance position.

This position focuses on testing the hardware and firmware of high end
HP servers using Linux.

Job duties include physically racking, wiring and configuring new
hardware into a test network.  Installing and configuring multiple
versions of Linux onto test systems and running standard test
applications.  Identifying problems, failures, errors and other faults
during installation and operation of Linux on the test systems.  Working
with other team members, developers and users to diagnose, debug and
resolve faults seen on test systems.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with Linux in
a self-sufficient manner to install and configure multiple distributions
and investigate problems when they happen.  Your communication skills
should allow to report problems clearly and concisely to others using
written and verbal methods.  The candidate should have a foundation of
knowledge and skills that will allow them to (or rapidly learn how to)
configure networking switches and resolve network problems, connect to,
configure and resolve problems with fiber channel based storage/SAN
systems.

Pluses include experience with virtualization including KVM and XEN, the
ability to read, write and debug scripts written in bash, perl and/or
Python.  Lots of patience and a strong desire to grow your skills.

This is a very good position for someone who wants to learn more and
gain more experience with enterprise level equipment and technologies.
