As far as I know there isn't any particular user guide documentation
for how to use LXDE as a desktop. It is simply a light weight desktop
GUI and for the most part things are done by "fiddling" with it.

As far as I know the main documentation for LXDE is the wiki pages here:

  http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Main_Page

It is pretty sparse on documentation though. So not sure how much
that is going to help. It is a wiki and the plan must have been that
the community would eventually jump in and write documentation for it.

I figure that with any of the bundles you will pretty much stick to
using the bundle. Which means that for LXDE it is PCManFM. But if
you want to use a different file manager the first thing to do would
be to install it. After you install the new file manager it should
set up menus for it.

You are using Fedora so the place to look for other window managers is
with 'yum'. Start with 'yum search' and then if you find something
you want to install do it with 'yum install foo'.

It is a shame that GNOME 2 went away and left the users to scramble
elsewhere.
