[NCLUG] Upgrade from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS to 12.04 LTS

It's not actually Gnome underneath and, in fact, Unity 2D uses Qt rather
than GTK.  Unity has no menus, so if you're looking for menus, you're
probably going to want to install another desktop environment.

As I understand it, Unity is geared to be a good all-around interface for
desktops (where you use a mouse) and tablets/phones (where you use your
finger).  Menus don't really translate well with menus, so I have to assume
that's why they were removed.
