Department Description:

Department is responsible for the architecture, design and testing of new automated tape libraries from small rack mount units to large standalone walk through machines. Specific responsibilities include design of electronics, sheet metal structures and enclosures, robotics and cabling.

 

Job Description:

Opening is for a Mechanical Engineer. 

Specific skills include:

-          knowledge and use of ProEngineer CAD Design tools

-          motor design and selection

-          knowledge in processes such as injection molded plastics, sheet metal design and specification, die cast part design

-          understanding of tolerance and margin analysis 

 

 

Additional skills include use of lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, force gages and temperature measurement devices. 

 

Successful candidate should have excellent teamwork and communication skills as well as a solid problem solving capability.
