Oracle Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data, EDQP, (the acquisition of Silver Creek Systems, Inc.) develops an enterprise software product that is designed to simplify complex product descriptions commonly found in many industries, enabling enterprises to more accurately manage product data. Accurate product data improves time-to-market for new products, enhances supply chain execution, increases operational efficiencies, and facilitates better business decisions across the enterprise.

 

EDQP is already being leveraged by the Oracle Product Information Management Data Hub and is also expected to enhance product data quality across other enterprise applications including Agile Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Resource Planning offerings.

 

The underlying core technology, and its market leading differentiation, is that the product is based on semantic technology that learns and understands product content in context.  It uses natural language processing, probabilistic, and AI algorithms to solve product data problems. The technology has been awarded 5 patents with 7 more pending.  

 

The EDQP development organization is seeking software professionals with experience developing java software applications incorporating JEE server and the latest user interface technologies to join its Engineering team.  This person will cooperate with other developers to augment existing EDQP software and develop new technology to expand our line of automated product data quality, governance, and integration solutions.  The product is 100% java so you must have this background.  A database background is also helpful.

EDQP is creating next-generation data quality software that's built from the ground up to adapt product data to the requirements of today's customer-driven sales & supply chain requirements.  This is a unique opportunity for a bright, energetic, innovative engineer to work with an outstanding development team on a breakthrough software product, serving marquee customers.

The EDQP development organization is located in Broomfield, Colorado in the former Sun campus.  We are 15 minutes from Boulder and the University of Colorado.  

 

Primary Responsibilities

.         Cooperate with other development team members to design and implement new software or to add or modify functionality of existing software

.         Work with key members of technical staff to develop user interfaces, system infrastructure and other components of the product

.         Develop a thorough understanding of the existing software architecture, functionality, and implementation, and help maintain existing software

.         Help evaluate and implement improvements to software performance or inference quality

Essential Experience

.         Training and experience in software engineering and practices

.         Training and experience in efficient algorithm design

.         Strong object orientation programming experience, especially with Java

.         M.S. or better in Computer Science or related field of study

.         7+ years as software engineer

.         Strong analytic and problem solving skills

.         Excellent communication and teamwork

.         Ease with reading, understanding, and maintaining an existing codebase

.         Work experience in a RAD or Agile environment

 

Required Skills

.         Minimum 5 years developing in Java

.         Minimum 3 years developing server based applications
