Oracle/Sun Systems is hiring for a full-time, permanent Junior Level Test Developer for the Tape/Library and Archive Team.

 

 

Position Details:

 

The Tape & Library Archive Quality Engineering organization is responsible for the functional and system validation testing of all under development and released tape drive, tape library and virtual tape library hardware and software products. The testing is performed within multiple Open Systems as well as Mainframe environments.

 

The candidate for this position should have:

- 2-7 years of programming experience with C, C++, or Java programming languages.

- Experience with scripting/scripting languages (perl, csh, bsh, etc.) is also preferred. 

- Knowledge of tape technology is a plus. 

- Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, tape drives, libraries, virtual storage, hardware enabling software, etc.

 

The candidate will be teamed with other test engineers and instructed in the processes and procedures utilized by the organization to execute, monitor and track assignments. Once the basics are understood, the candidate will be placed on an in-development product test activity and will be provided daily, weekly and/or monthly technical assignments from the technical lead.
