The Solaris Core Services team covers a broad set of technologies in Solaris from kernel level service management to userland capabilities like the new packaging system for Solaris 11.  Going forward the team is tasked with creating the next generation technologies to make Solaris the premiere OS for cloud computing. 

 

Required skills:
* Strong background in C programming

* Familiarity with operating system internals

* Familiarity with python a plus 

* Understand the issues involved in writing multi-threaded software

* Comfortable with using UNIX on a day-do-day basis

* Enjoy solving challenging systems problems

 

Local candidates preferred.
