... Enable in Netscape "What's Related" and "Smart Browsing",
and watch a TCPdump trace .  Compare to the same with those
options turned off.

Of course they do report back ... But at least they say so, if
you dig for and read the docs, and consider the implications
of how they work.

Ditto, of course, the Multicast report backs of the MicroSoft
products, and the QuickBooks product. (A good reason to block
the Multi-cast range at the outbound firewall ...)

Encode in the MAC address (world-wide unique with clerical
exceptions), and the SPA has an airtight 'Software Piracy'
case.

Aren't you glad you use software with a license with Freedom
built in?  Thanks, RMS, et al.
