[NCLUG] problems with "gtk"

Hope someone can help. I am trying to install everybuddy to keep in
touch with my sister, as she will only use aol and windoze (poor girl) 
Anyway, when i make, i get error message
 "proxy.c:34: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [proxy.o] Error 1"
Can anyone help me out here? By the way I am running Suse 7.0. I havce
had no porblems with this program under Redhat 6.2, and 7.0. Thanks
