[NCLUG] Is there anybody....

Hey guys :)

Nice to hear from you.

I can already see the massive advantages of Linux over Windows - it really
is a whole bunch more powerful. The learning curve is steep, especially in a
shell environment but I'm trying to force myself to use the command line
rather than KDE. Although KDE is quite cool and extremely functional, I
already know how to use a Windows interface.

Also Xaos makes it all worth the price of admission. Pretty, pretty colors
*drool*.

Are there any good beginner's books people would recommend? I haven't found
a good Unix/Linux book yet that can adequately explain not just what a
command does, but why you would want to execute it.

Hey Oliver......

......Don't feel too bad! *LOL* I'm a Linux
"newbie" as well. Thanks to my good friend,Jeff
Means,I'm learning as much as I can,and even went
with him to the Installfest this weekend at CSU!

I'm getting to the point where I'd much rather
use Linux anyday then use Windows! *GROAN*

Anyway...
Keep your chin up,
David :-)
