[NCLUG] Local Chapter of the Internet Society?

There are a fair number of large pipes going through Denver, and Qwest's
huge IP network is based out of Denver. NSFNet has a grand history
here, with Westnet ("Moving Bits Closer to God!"), and Colorado SuperNet
(now also Qwest). MCI, Lucent, Qwest, IBM, HP, Sun and all kinds of
other tech and comm companies live out here.

So why doesn't there appear to be a local chapter of the Internet
Society here? http://www.isoc.org/ In fact, the closest one is probably
Texas or Chicago. Of the chapters Forming, the closest is still Omaha,
Nebraska!

C'mon, if /Omaha/ is forming a chapter of ISOC, why doesn't Colorado
already have one?

Just kinda wondering...
