I tried /etc/X11/gdm and it told me that gdm is a directory. Blush. I knew
that. So I typed cd gdm and it said cd: gdm: No such file or directory. Then I
tried ps -ef | grep sawfish and got absolutely nothing. So I tried ps -ef |
grep gnome and got:
root 228 212 0 16:41 tty1 00:00:00 grep gnome

BTW - I think I asked before... you said you are running SawFish. Are you
running Gnome as well? I personally have never gotten SawFish to run without
gnome-session
try:
ps -ef | grep sawfish
and then ps -ef | grep gnome
you should see entries for both.
