hi!

i am having problems mounting an audio cd.
Want to be able to copy tracks to harddrive
and convert to mp3.

mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom
gives error
/dev/cdrom: Input/output error
mount: block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only
/dev/cdrom: Input/output error
mount: you must specify the filesystem type

get error even if I do:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /cdrom

wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file
systems.

help???

/etc/fstab looks like (for cdrom)
/dev/cdrom /cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto 0 0

also tried to mount /dev/hdd
which is where my cdrom is apparently at
same error.

help!
thanks,
-fragile flies
