Wow, thanks Mike.  What a vote of confidence.  The typhoon address' 
machine is now
being admin'd by another.  He upgraded to RH7.1 and put some tcpwrapper 
rules in place.
The strange thing is that he didn't (me either) know that somehow this 
sendmail uses
these rules too.  That wasn't the case in the past.  I put "sendmail: 
ALL" into /etc/hosts.allow
and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Anyway, I now get my nclug messages at this address instead of my CSU 
address.
