[NCLUG] connex n3100 nas server?

Does anyone out there know anything about the company connex?  I have
one of their machines that we bought in 8/00, and it is starting to act
weird.  All I can seem to find out is that they boxes were built by
Western Digital.  What I'm curious about is if there is support, or
parts available for this thing?  Can it be reloaded with a
non-proprietary linux?  Where these guys a bunch of hucksters?
