[NCLUG] starband & linux?

Dear folks,

Well, it seems my only two options for my new home up in the hills are ISDN 
and Starband. I'm leaning towards Starband but it's crippled to run on 
Windows only. Does anyone know how to uncripple the modem it so that I can 
plug it into my ethernet port? Any other issues involved? Is there a How-To 
somewhere on this? 

I'm going to be internet-less after tomorrow so I hope someone has an answer 
before then...
