[NCLUG] Help needed with Xconfig

A machine running RH8.0 had the Gnome desktop configured
for some high resolution setting.  It is now in a new
location, and has a new 15 inch flat screen monitor
attached.  The Monitor does not display at the current VGA
settings.  

I can drop to a command shell, however Xconfigurator is not
on this install (shelved?).  

How can I change these settings?  I need the GUI for the
app to run.
