[NCLUG] OT: Openlist, the mailing list blackhole service

For those of you who aren't members of the CO-SAGE list, there's been a 
small thread on there regarding Openlist, which purports to be an "open 
email list" blackhole service.  (Open being that the lists don't 
confirm subscriptions).  As a public interest, I've posted the exchange 
between Kirk Rafferty (one of the CO-SAGE moderators) and Openlist on 
my weblog:

You might want to read this -- the Openlist people seem to be so dense 
it's funny.  They have their hearts in the right place, but they don't 
seem to grasp how their system can be abused.
