 Uh, I still have that old distro of slackware on 3.5" floppies if anyone
needs. :-) I think it's propping up other stuff in a stuff box but it's
still around.

 I've seen trouble like this with floppies before. When I left Germany in
'93 I brought with me 50 or 60 of the little buggers and used them when I
had to. Mostly for shuttling stuff home from CSU (faster than my 14.4 modem
at the time). At some point a few years ago I pretty much determined that
the majority of them were bad as they couldn't be formatted error-free. Now
I just scrounge around at work if I need one.
