Ah. Thank you. That explains it. I guess I fell into a Python trap for
ex-LISP programmers :)

Anyhow, I'm not complaining. The more I use Python, the more I like it.
I've been writing a GUI for manipulating a list of photo thumbnails and
it's less than 350 lines of code. Way cool.
