 Sure, wireless connection to the laptop running Linux so that it can set
near you on the couch in front of the $6,000+ movie-watching setup. :-)

 But seriously, I've heard folks tout the goodness of Xine for doing this.
I looked at it a while back for things other than DVD and remember it being
well put together.
