Well, you can get the source in the src.rpm... from any redhat mirror:

mirrors.tummy.com:/pub/mirrors/redhat/linux/updates/8.0/en/os/SRPMS/kdelibs-3.0.3-8.3.src.rpm

Might check your 'fontconfig' package to make sure it's up to date and
such:

fontconfig-2.0-3

is the one I have here. 

rpm -V fontconfig

should run a verifty on it. 

also, you might try running a 'ldconfig' to configure dynamic libs in
case there is a link out of place or the like.
