[NCLUG] strange TTY problems

Do you have another keyboard you could hook up?  It sounds like you've gone
through the obvious stuff.  Maybe the keyboard is fried?

/dev/tty[1,3,5] do exist (at least they don't error when I redirect an
`echo testing` to them) and as a matter of fact, when the machine boots,
it starts up using tty1 but if I switch from that I can never get back
to it...

Can anybody think what the problem is?
